About this event

After a summer celebrating ten years of pop-up dancefloors in public spaces across the city, Public Disco is heading back inside for a late night party at our favourite warehouse.

For this edition, we’ve invited Public Disco curators from past and present (the people who’ve helped shape the sound of our parties over the years) to step behind the decks and share their finest selections. Expect disco, house, techno and everything in between, with live visuals from clara setting the mood.

Line Up:
Jesse Walker

Public Disco After Dark brings the energy of our daytime parties indoors for something more intimate. The music goes deeper and the lights go down, but the welcome stays the same: an inclusive, feel-good dance floor where everyone belongs.

IMPORTANT INFO

Public Disco After Dark takes place at The Birdhouse, a cherished Queer and Trans run event space in Mount Pleasant. All are welcome, and violence, racism, transphobia, sexism, or any other discriminatory language or actions will not be tolerated. Together, let’s create a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

We acknowledge that this event takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples: the sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) nations. We ask that you take a moment to consider the history of the land we gather on, your relations with local Indigenous people, and what each of us can do to foster meaningful reconciliation now and into the future.
